minutes drive up the side of the valley from the village, Ferme
de Montagne is one of only 3 original farmhouses in the hamlet
of La Turche, a couple of small hotels, a winter sports shop,
opposite the local ski lift, and a ski down to the new 6 seater
chair lift, which both connect to all the ski-runs of Les Gets
and the 650km of pistes in the Portes
du Soleil.
The ski lift across the road is less than
100 yards away, so you can ski out in the mornings without needing
to use any transport, and ski back almost to the front door in
the afternoon.
Apart
from our own transport service (if you don't want to start your
skiing from across the road) the village runs a free "petit train"
(an open navette) to the village and back 5 times a day, departing
a few yards from our front door, and the road is always cleared
of snow every morning.

It's peaceful, it's almost rural, and the
sun shines on our farmhouse which has a southerly aspect and terrace
when its not snowing.
